During the height of the pandemic, the author sought a way to help children feel safer during those challenging and unpredictable times. She aimed for the story to resonate with current experiences while remaining light enough to inspire children's imaginations. Additionally, she wanted the content to align harmoniously with the illustrations in the picture book.
